| I'm not a christian, and I doubt that I ever will be. However, this song is intensely beautiful. It has the power to bring me to tears sometimes. It's just put together so well. And so well-written. Everything about this song is absolutely amazing. | |

| To me, this song is about a guy that is doing something wrong...and as he's doing it...he hears God telling him that it's wrong, but also that He will teach him to overcome temptation. And when he sings, "Here's my kiss to betray desperate to brush the lips of grace. Do you feel hollow when you think of how I've lied?" He's talking about how the guy feels guilty for what he did wrong and he wants to be seen pure in God's eyes. And then when he says Jesus, I'm ready to come home...He's just submitting to God completely, giving up everything. I love the power in this song...the way that it flows, from quiet in the beginning, and then it builds more and more...and then towards the end it's at it's highest point...and then it fades and ends calmly...reminds me of times when I've done something wrong...I try to ignore it...but God keeps making it clear to me...and then feelings build up inside of me...and eventually i just explode and let all of my pride and sins out...and then He consumes me and everything's calm. | |

| This song is so pretty. It brought a couple tears to my eyes, it's so beautiful. in the part where it's like "hey unfaithful..." I think that that part is like God singing to all of us, and then later in the song is the most beautiful part ever, when the scream comes in "Jesus I'm ready to come home" SO BEAUTIFUL! It's just like "I can't stand being apart from You any longer, just take me home" Such passion! I love it! :D | |
