i personally think that its about someone who used to know God, and is turning away from Him and someone is trying to save them before its too late, hence the "time is shorter than you know"

This song sounds like its the waking dawn of a war and they are moving fast because they are in code-red and "There's got to be some stable ground left to walk on" Which means there has to be a safe place to hide...and when they say "Just what are you so afraid of You're staring truth in the face, so come on down" sounds like they are in battle and he needs to get his head straight cause it isnt a dream its reality and they could die.. "Time is shorter than you know I know the light is blinding to the naked eye So why don't you take steps away from being alone I swear, it's not too late for you" Gunfire is going off and he knows one false move from his allies and he could be a one man army.. and the part of "It's all worth reaching for the hand to pull you out Wake up and step outside your box Wake up " Seems like its about trying to get out alive and make the best of what they got..and get back to the family safe

And the "Come on down" could be referring to an aisle. Either way I'm very proud of these new songs. I'm gonna buy this when it comes out just to show support. These songs are so much better than They're Only Chasing Safety's tracks.
