| I think it's about how everyone has some kind of problem (or are damaged, you know what I mean). He seems to mention that he has his own problems at first, and that he's trying to heal somehow. Then, after all that, asks to "see your bruises", possibly meaning that since he's shared his stories he's hoping that this woman (well, maybe it's a women) will reciprocate or something. Okay, maybe this doesn't make sense but it's a guess, actually. I'm probably wrong but meh...it's all good. | |

| I see this as a song about internal conflict. In the beginning, he's like singing slowly and complaining. "Please, leave me alone, for I cannot let this go." But then the other side of him snaps, screaming "Shut the fuck up". The next verse follows the same format, except he doesn't scream at himself this time. Instead he challenges the whining side of him. "Come on, get up, let me see your bruises". He's like taunting himself. Obviously, he went through some tough times and he wants to show proof of how fucked up he is, but at the same time, he's attacking himself for even thinking about complaining. | |
