| I agree it to be about how he's become dark and he's gotten used to it, so he despises the light. He claims that why should it be something that great when it burns and blinds you? Sometimes after you've been in the dark basement for so long, you grow to like it. I think this album is awesome, but it hasn't grown on me totally yet. But their debut took a bit to grow on me and "In Love and Death" seems to have a similar hook so I think I'll be into it before long. They are just no doubt something just fresh and talented. Hard to place a finger on them, which I like. I don't understand how I read some reviews about how people were upset because this album got poppy and the screaming went away. Um.... I totally disagree. I believe like a lot of people's sophomore albums (not to discount their uniqueness) that they've just grown in all directions. I can pick out a song that is harder IMO then any of their songs in the debut (Sound Effects and Overdramatics) and the ballad right after that is softer then any song on the debut. And yes the poppish songs sound poppier, the rest of the styles are more dramatic as well. I'd even venture to say that this album is not that far different from their first. Definitely so when comparing this with some other bands. Like Tool for example... no album is the same. | |

| he did some what make a reference to my chemical romance, he's really good friends with them and appears on an mcr track, and if i remember correctly, bert did the makeup before, i could be wrong, i don't remember, but it's just makeup nothign that could have ever been "done" before anyways i think the song is about being at the breaking point of everything, you can't take anymore and all you can say is "take it away" | |
