| "ha ha ha you might wanna sing" sounds like a reply to a suggestion to sing instead of taking drugs to cope with your emotions and they thought it was a stupid idea...kinda ironic ay since they are singing... | |

| im not very good at interpretating songs, but i think that this song is about a guy who's bi-polar because he's saying "I broke the needle off in my skin, picked the scabs and picked the bleeding." also, when you listen to the song his singing sounds normal at the beginning and then once he gets to the middle he starts screaming, so it's like mood swings; and that's basically what bi-polar is. I guess it could be right that a lot of these songs are about drugs, because it makes sense in some of them. How does this song talk about heroin though???? | |

| I think it means looking at the obvious signs that something is wrong and doing something about it Also these lyrics are really screwed up it should be "It's not a lie if you can let it sing" Not, I'd rather sing. and its "Take the RED for what it's worth" if people rely on these lyrics the they can't understand the reall meaning of the song | |

| Yup, I see this as how Bert is trying to transfer his euphoria from drugs into singing. "Let it bleed And take the rest for what it's worth Watch the fire Fill your lungs with smoke for the last time If you feel like dying you might wanna sing" He's saying to find that emotion you get from drugs naturally. To seek that higher state without the destructiveness associated with chemical intoxication. Maynard James Keenan of Tool said this in an interview: Do a drug to get to where you want, then spend the next 10 years of your life achieving it naturally. Some people don't fit into this world so much. Some poeple I believe can't live or don't choose to live in this world very long at all. Because there is so much emotion and so much energy that people are used to, and with the way the system is built within this world, that is stifled. I believe a lot of bandmates have problems with drugs and such because they need to constantly be in a higher state of emotion. Without it they feel like a wreck. And then become one. I'm glad you can be high on life. And I sound like a DARE kid, but I'm definitely not. I've done my share of drugs. I'm just now looking to let that go somewhat and start finding it naturally. That's what I think this song is about. | |
