| I love the tune to thissong. Every line seems to flow so smoothly to the next. I love how the song starts off as well. This song in my opinion obviusly is about being lonesome. Everyone has been there before. Great song | |

| I saw their show on Devil's night in Detroit and he opened this song by saying "This is for anyone that has ever felt alone in their life. The first time I listened to this song I was flipping through the cd booklet and I saw the thing about Kate and that is what i thought it was about but then I heard of his puppy David Bowie. I think this song is about him losing both of them because he lost them both around the same time, losing 2 of his best friends that close to the same time had to be really hard. That is what I think the song is about...Kate and David Bowie | |

| Later Bert has said that this song now means so much more to him than about David Bowie. That it's taught him about loss and life in general. | |

| Maybe some of these lyrics don't make sense to you because they're wrong...so called fans don't even know the right lyrics...so heres some corrections. So deep, that it didn't even bleed and catch me Off guard, red handed Now I'm far from lonely Asleep I still see you lying next to me So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me I... I need something else would Someone please just give me Hit me and knock me out And let me go back to sleep I can laugh All I want inside I still am empty So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me I... I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely And it's all that I've got I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely And it's all that I've got I guess, I remember every glance you shot me Un-harmed, im losing weight and some body heat I squoze so hard I stopped your heart from beating So deep that I didn't even scream fuck me, I.... I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely And it's all that I've got I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely And it's all that I've got And it's all that I've got Yeah, it's all that I've got It's all that I've got It's all that I've got! So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me So deep that I didn't even scream fuck me I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely and it's all that I've got I'll be just fine Pretending I'm not I'm far from lonely And it's all that I've got And it's all that I've got Yeah, it's all that I've got | |

| i must say i enjoy the old stuff so so so so so so much more, the old used is my favorite band. The next cd will be better i think....they need to leave John feldman....he always produces poppy stuff i still feel bad for Bert though, him and David.....sad song...but not as sad as "on my own" | |

| 1. he wrote it about his dog, but afterwards he decided that it's about loss in general. 2. the new cd takes some getting used to, i like it alot and i think it's great how much they've developed as musicians. i still like the old one better though, it just seems rawer. 3. squoze is definately not a word...i'm thinking past tense to squeeze? lol, no matter what it means it's an excellent song. | |

| It's about Bert's dead puppy, David Bowie. He got hit by a car during the first week of recording and died...therefore Bert wrote a song about him. A while back Bert said "My best friend got hit by a car and died when we started recording the album...it affected my writing drastically" He meant his puppy....RIP David Bowie. | |
