| I read an interview with Jon Crosby ( Original member/founder of VAST.. vocals and damn near everything else :) ) and he went into great detail about this song. It was written about a disaterous relationship he had previously. The woman had (i don't remember details) some form of mental issues and so the relationship was very unstable , going from intense bouts of passion to equally intense fits of violence. They were together a while before it finally ended, and a fair bit of damge was done to both sides... needless to say it wasn't a very good time in his life. The lyrics really show the spiteful, hateful things people do to each other when things go bad, eg. 'I didn't want to hurt you but you're pretty when you cry ' etc. You get the idea. Hope you find this helpful. | |

| Pysonide and Oubliette are the two people with correct interpretations. It's a truly sad song, the girl he loved had schitzophrenia, or so I'm told. There's even an instrumental song by VAST titled "Schitzophrenia" not to mention the song "Touched". Aside of all that, Jon Crosby is phenominally talented and this music is by far the best kept secret in musicland. | |

| The lyrics to this song are priceless...he is mocking the modern day physical relationships of lust. He, in great articulation, describes a relationship where the man only wants the girl for her sexual aspects and literally "couldn't give a %@#$ about." | |

| Psyonide's interpretation is perfect. And damned if this song doesn't sum up my last relationship. | |

| My personal belief is that this whole album(despite the language in this song) is about John's relationship with God. While it does have multiple layers(ie: this song being about a girl) This song ALSO feels to me like he's talking from Adam's view point about Eve "Your made of my rib or baby your made of my sin" Beautiful song. I must get my VAST cd out again ^o^ | |
