	i love this song, got the gold album, and woo, its alright..see what i did there? one of my fav songs, i see it from the view of not caring, cus at the time u hear that song it makes u just go with the flow.

	Yeah, I love this song! It's so great! It feels like the ignorant man's happiness (sarcastic i suppose)..: "There are problems in these times, but woo! None of them are mine..! Oh baby I'm beginning to see the light". Like it was a great enlightment to understand that you'll live in bliss once you don't care..

	Same as moik said--I definitely don't pretend to understand this song. When I listen to it, however, I think about the contrast between the euphoria of enlightenment and the underlying, incessant knowledge that we really do not know anything. The narrator rants and raves about this epiphany he seems to be in the middle of, but it is broken at various points by a much quieter, more intimate confession of a second side of this man that will not leave him. It makes me very sad, to think that you cannot truly be happy because there is always a gnawing pain deep inside of you. That is what I feel whenever I hear those quiet parts: "here we go again", "here comes two of you", etc.

	What does the part mean "I wore my teeth in my hands so I could miss the hell of a night." ? any help i love the lyrics and seems like a version of i wore my hear ton my sleeve but what exactly is this refferring too?

	i do not pretend to understand this song; but it seems to me that the narrator is beginning to feel the effects of whatever his drug of choice is. He begins to feel some euphoria and contentment. "Wine in the morning and breakfast at night" reminds me of the partying lifestyle i am sure Lou and his friends led during the VU days. The peo-pe who work very hard but never get it right are, well, us. I don't quite understand, however, the "two of you" part of the song. I think the narrator is trying to decide whether to fly straight or just keep partying - and at the moment partying and apathy regarding whatever negative thing happened with the other person in the song (violence) seems to be winning. And still he wonders what it would be like to be loved.

	The characters enlightenment is shortlived, after the euphoria of "seeing the light" wears off, he still wonders how it feels to be loved.

	I love this song mainly for the great music that goes with it, that heavy clangy guitar sound. If I had to go out on a limb I'd say it's about a guy who finally sees that a relationship is over. The "How does it feel to be loved?" part is a great balance between bitterness in meaning but sung in an upbeat way. But given some of the other lyrics I think you form your own opinion...

	I wouldn't say it's completely an optimistic song, Dreamlandscape described it very well. To me, it's very much like Sunday Morning, with the descriptions of paranoia. I feel like it's ignorance is bliss but then there's a realization there too, going back and forth with trust in relationships. The self-titled VU album is more subtle its own very beautiful ways.

	Here comes two of you. Which one will you choose? One is black and one is blue, Don't know just, what to do. These lines say enough for me. You hear it in the music, too. He's saying he has seen the light, and will fly straight and such, but he bullies those close to him. For example, his wife or girlfriend thinks he is wrong about some things, so he goes like 'there we go again'. And so on. The black and blue line is quite clearly about a beating. At least, this is what I think.

	Sounds like my theme-song. Basically as others have put partying, apathy and living without a care give a temporary release (sarcastic enlightenment) from the sadness of not having more meaning(true love) to your life.

	I meant also to say, it seems to have a rather neutral tone, I guess its a recurring thing that happens in a lot of VU songs.

	I like the way it says "wine in the morning and some breakfast at night". It sort of says just do what you want and don't care about anyone else and you'll be happy. I don't think it's sarcastic, I think that it's just describing one mood that everyone probably feels at some point. Really though I think it's impossible to not care about anyone else.
