G D Am E
When I look in the mirror I can't believe what I see
G D Am E
Tell me, who's that funky dude starin' back at me?
G D Am E
Broken, beaten down can't even get around
G D Am E
without an old-man cane I fall and hit the ground
G D Am B7
Shivering in the cold, I'm bitter and alone
G D Am E
Excuse the bitchin' - I shouldn't complain
G D Am E
I should have no feeling, 'cuz feeling is pain
G D Am E
As everything I need is denied me
G D Am E
And everything I want is taken away from me
G D Am B7 (quick transistion)
But who do I got to blame? Nobody but me
B7 C
I don't wanna be a old man anymore
D G Em
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Em Am D
Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night
D G Em
It's time I got back to the good life
Em Am7 D
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
D G Em
'n I don't even know how I got off the track
Em Am D
I wanna go back, yeah!
G D Am E
Screw this crap, I've had it! I ain't no Mr. cool
G D Am E
I'm a pig, I'm a dog, so 'scuse me if I drool
G D Am E
I ain't gonna hurt nobody, ain't gonna cause a scene
G D Am E
I just need to admit I want sugar in my tea
G D Am B7
Hear me? Hear me? I want sugar in my tea!
B7 C
I don't wanna be a old man anymore
D G Em
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor

Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night

| Yeah, while he was going to Harvard he had long hair and lots of facial hair, no to mention the cane because of his leg (read above)... he wasn't having fun and when he wrote that song he just wanted to be his rockstar self again and have fun. | |

| This is a great song. I think that everyone can basically relate to it in that there is a time, when you cant even recognize your own reflection, and that as time goes on you grow up and get older, and you want to "go back," to the days that you were happy. Oh yeah the last verse is one of the best lines ever: "Screw this crap..." | |
