This is a really funny song. The girl treats him like crap and scares the crap out of him! This is even evident in the way he sings the song (a really high-pitched, fearful tone). But he still wants her! And the best part is that she wants him too! Otherwise she wouldn't spend so much time with him. The sorta depressing part of the song is summed up in one line: "...and we don't wanna be alone". Their whole relationship is based on a mutual lonliness. Then again, maybe he just met her and found out all this disturbing stuff about her and is just imagining a deep connection.

He loves her no matter what she does, he loves her for her not because of her addictions or tendencies. He doesn't give a crap of what others think. All that matters is what is between the two of them. Drugs are so overanalyzed, they become a mantra of people's lives. Props to being an individual.

I'm with Rivers. I get easily jealous, too, so I really dig this song. I'm a little bitch, like he's an asshole. ^_^ =w= Rock on.

for me, it's just because it's so hard to get a girl. i don't think a lot of girls don't realize how they could have whatever they want from us. i know that for me one of the best things about a relationship is giving the girl what she wants.

I'm a girl... and I don't like to my boyfriend feel like less by laughing at other guys' jokes, it's a small thing but it's the small things that count. I like to make my boyfriend feel like he's the only one I feel anything for. I'm not a guy so I've never experiance being jealous like that but I can see where he's coming from.

and, according to Rivers, The World has Turned and Left me Here is "The same asshole wondering why she's gone."

I love Weezer. They are that aorta sterotypical American garage band who sing cheesy little songs about girlfriends and are all 'geeks' who love Iron Maiden and Old School British metal. And they play geeky games like Dungeons and Dragons. It always makes me smile to picture the band that way :)

I think it's almost sarcastic in its approach... like he's been cheated on so many times, he's just fed up, he wants someone that won't even leave the house without him. I don't think he's being too serious... well, maybe a little.

gee, thanks zac, thats really enlightening. backupdork is right, my sister gets really offended by this song, saying its selfish, but everyone does want their other half to pay special attention to them. We are all a little possesive in our own way, but some more than others.
