I think this cover is awesome, as when compared to the original has much darker undertones to it...

I have always loved this song, even from the first time i heard it, and it is possibly my favourite white stripes song. My friend went to see the white stripes at the apollo about a month ago and i phoned him during it, and i couldnt have picked a better time to do so; it was right as they were playing this song and it sounded amazing. Unfortionatley i ran out of credit so i only heard that song... but a simply amazing song, even though it is a cover

the guy is really depressive, and i feel like the white stripes hav done another song with the same meaning, but it just feels new i never thought this was to go as far as suicide, but yea it is sad, but not that sad just like 'theres no room for you here' as a sequel or the second chapter to 'dead leaves and the dirty ground', i think 'im lonely but i aint that lonely yet' is the sequel to this song...just a thought

No, all along the watchtower is a Bob Dylan song, Hendrix covered it off of Dylan...anyways this is an excellent song and the white stripes are an excellent band.

This is obviously about how, after a break-up, you feel like you have to start over with everything in your life. With most people, their significant lover becomes their whole life, so when a break-up occurs, people tend to be "lost" and they "just don't know what to do".

This title has a lot of meaning in my household. One day my sister had a lot of projects to do for school that she couldn't get done, so to comfort her I sang this song XD. Before that day, she didn't like the White Stripes, but now she does!

Post Statement: I agree with DoomBunneh.. this song is based on someone who was VERY in love with someone, and shared their entire life with that person- now that it's over, they aren't sure what to do anymore.
