Artist: White Stripes
Album: White Stripes
Song: Suzy Lee
Tabbed By: Christopher Agee (Blackdogleo@aol.com)

This tab is all my own work and this is my first attempt at tabbing
anything, so any suggestions you may have would be appreciated.
Open E Tuning
E B E G# B E
/=slide up
=slide down
Basicly, you should use a slide for everything except the low power chord
stuff. As you may be able to tell, I didn't include any indications about
timing, so you will have to listen to the recording. Also, there is a
second guitar. I hope I didn't overcomplicate this nice easy song.
Believe me, I wanted to tab every single note, but thought that would be
of no real use, as the variations are quite minor and simple.

| Yeah but with sisters you have to look after them as if they're younger than you even when they're not. When Jack wrote this song, though, him and Meg were still married were they not? | |

| It's funny how they still keep confusing people about their relationship with each other. They're siblings, then they're married, then they're divorced, now siblings again. And Meg is Jack's kid sister even though she's older than him. | |

| I also agree with Suzy Lee being a name for Meg, but if it's not that I think that Suzy Lee was like a a girl that he liked when he was a child. Because the lyrics of We are going to be Friends. It's talking about suzy lee from a child's perspective, and then also the dedication in Get Behind Me Satan says "Wherever she may be..." So. Maybe so. But I like thinking that it's Meg because I like to think that all of their love songs are about Meg. It just makes me happier =] | |

| Suzy Lee is mentioned in the thanks of a few albums too, and on loads of their songs, he certainly has a thing about her, however she is. | |

| I think Jack still loves Meg, but rather than being in the husband and wife sense, it's in a brother-sister way. He just wants to make sure nobody hurts her or does her wrong. | |

| I just listened to this song...and sadly, this is the first white stripes song i've heard that i don't actually like. Ah, blasphemy! I think its kind of boring, and it isnt Jakcs best. It doesnt even sound like him! But their still and awsome band :) | |

| suzy lee is just a substitute name probibly instead of just saying Megs name. you gotta know these "love" songs are about the relationship between him and Meg. | |

| yeah, I think Suzy Lee is really Meg. Jack has to be really confused, I mean, he marries her, divorces and now he carries her everywhere as if they were stuck on each other... and then he asks why de doesn't do well with girlfriends... there is an unfinished issue there... | |

| this band totally blew me away when i first heard them.... a modern mainstream band with led zeppelin, ramones, and nirvana roots? ive been waiting for a band like this. its obvious they listen to lots of zeppelin, especially from this song. The guitar playing is inventive, with a blues sound, definetly the way zeppelin did it. If someone told me that zeppelin wrote this song, i might have believed them, and thats why this band is the only good new band out right now. | |
