| heh, this song is in an H2 commercial now. Its a good use of the song in my opinion. The idea of the commercial and song go very well together. | |

| This song isn't really about anything, it's pure nonsense. Except for the part about the Isle of Man, Pete's dad used to play in a band called the Squadronaires at the Isle of Man. And Happy Jack is a real guy, my aunt met him in a pub in England a while back, U2's producer introduced her. He was just happy all the time, hence the song. | |

| To me, this song is about doing your own thing, and ignoring others who get in your way. | |

| No, this one's not about masturbating. That's Pictures of Lilly. And by the way, good music should only be used for good cars. Hummers are the worst fucking car ever to come off an assembly line. I'm a fan of "Rock and Roll" in the Cadillac ads. | |

| If I had a H2 go-cart and I could off-road, I'd be happier than Jack Sprat would be in a vegetable patch. | |

| It says in the booklet of The Who: the Ultimate Collection c.d. that when Pete Townshend yells "I saw yer" at the end, it was because Keith Moon had been kicked out of the studio they were in and he was trying to sneak back in, but Townshend saw him. | |

| The story behind the "I saw ya!" is that Keith Moon was a terrible singer, but kept trying to sneak in vocals. Eventually Pete and Roger threw him out every vocal session, but he kept trying to come back to sing; it was a game between them. During "Happy Jack", Keith tried to come in, but Pete saw him and yelled "I saw ya!" | |
