	it is a love song, kind of. not a normal one. he isn't singing it to a woman, but to his spiritual leader. (Meher Baba?) basically saying that he would give up everything to reach enlightenment, or whatever it is that he was seeking. i don't really understand those eastern beliefs too well.

	If we wanted to look at the song from a relationship standpoint,.... It'd be one of the best love songs ever,.. and I believe it is perfectly acceptable to view it like that,.. To compare the person you love, to enlightenment or Nirvana... but the song is about unity, unity with a spiritual entity of some kind....and from that, you could apply it to any one religion,... or more specifically,.. Townshend's...

	PS.... The Who desecrated themselves by allowing Nissan to distort the meaning of the song,.... This song was one of their best in my opinion... and it really disgusts me that they'd do that to it,.... I know that almost half the people who saw the commercials will never hear the song again,... and will not know the true siginficance of the song,... other than signalling lowered prices on shitty import vehicles,... Let's see if the Who can redeem themselves this summer...

	crying the first time I heard this was on a car ad :D But I think Won't Get Fooled Again is an even better demonstration of Keith Moon. The drum solo at 7:30 is great. But the drum filler here is really great too.

	Yeah flinchy17 and dukeface are exactly right, he's saying how the worst suffering possible on this earth isn't a good enough price to be with God. Having a full life of suffering and pain to be with God is a 'Bargain' VERY, VERY powerful song, one of the best ever
