| well, in the video there's a bug being pinned. this is a normal step in bug collection. after the bug's been killed you pin it to a flat surface so it can be framed. i dunno, i was just looking at it literally. | |

| Things are feeling thin: butterfly wings. lost my seat again: she's puches out of the glass specimen box. I'll go, I'll go: she leaps to freedom and starts making out with her bug but knows they're going to have to go back in. Sje likes to sleep with her arthropod lover and knows that the pins are going to push her back in eventually. The music video.. I'd assume. | |

| I agree, this is a complete sexual reference. "I like to sleep with him, pushing in the pin". Vivid visuals here. | |

| I think this song is about a fucked up relationship where he's either lost interest or is seeing someone else nut she sleeps with him anyway cos she loves him, but to do so hurts much like pushing a pin into yourself would. And then when they're done she goes and knows it doesn't really mean anything to him. | |

| Pushing in the pin is definitely a negative reference rather than sexual. Sounds painful. Also, "I know, I know" seems to denote regret. | |

| The pin pushing makes me think of those collections of dead insects...with the pins pushed through them. And this song suggest being dispensable, a mere specimen in a collection of sexual conquest. "gonna go back in" After the people are fucked they go back to their box, and they feel trapped in this unloving situation. | |

| Sorry to be trite and bring up drugs, but did no one else see how calling the guy's dick a 'pin' relates to heroin use? Linking sex with heroin adds some strong support to the other arguements here. A heroin addict recognizes their problem, but is powerless to control it, so they're just like "fuck it" and they let everything run its course - "Well I know, I know"/"We're gonna go go go" | |

| this kinda seems a little darker to me, like there's something more than just sex. like she likes it but he controls her with it. that's what i take from pushing in the pin, plus it could be an overly sexual relationship thus "things are feeling thin" | |

| I love this song, it IS so much fun! It's fun, and great to dance around to, yet you can still feel the underlying emotion. Brilliant. One of their best songs | |

| I seriously don't think 'pushing in the pin' is a sexual reference for some reason. I agree with the other interpretations of it (sewing, being pinned/trapped ect). I also always thought the pin had to do with some kid of pain. | |

| I think you guys(naturally) are missing the bigger picture here. How can everyone focus on one sentence and ignore the rest just because the one sentnce so clearly says SOMETHING? Anyways, the first four lines really say something to me. I know, you might actually have to think, and put things in to context, and TRY, but think about it. Things are feeling thin -- in the relationship. Lost my seat again -- To some other woman for whom his heart burns. I'll go I'll go -- I'll let him push his pin in, because things are feeling thin, and I don't want to lose him. *shrug* | |

| Actually, after rereading the lyrics, I think this song is talking about vodoo(sp?) dolls. I think the singer used to go out with someone but then got dumped. Now she is pushing in the pin into a vodoo doll to get back at him. Just my 2 cents. | |

| It says "I like to sleep with him, pushing in the pin...we're gonna go back in..." This is obviously talking about sex. And it sounds to me like she is making fun of his size, with the line "things are feeling thin" and the fact that she is talking about the "Pin", a very small object. (listen to the song "bang" and the whole size inuendo becomes a reoccurring thing in their music) I agree with beatjunkie, he is moving on to another girl with the line "lost my seat again, I'll go, I'll go" | |
