| I went camping last this weekend and this story perfectly describes what happened: out boat got stuck out in the middle of the lake and it began to thunder and lightning and hail and all that nastyness, so I got the boat closest to the shore as I could, jumped into the freezing cold water with giant waves, and pulled the boat along the shore until we got back to our dock. Even as I was towing my friend and the boat along, I exclaimed "MAN, I FEEL LIKE SUCH A WARRIOR!" the best part was I didn't hear this song until a few hours later when my friend figured it would work eprfectly with what just happened. Especially the river part. | |

| it's about someone who doesn't love her, and how she's acting like she can take it because she's a warrior, but all she wants is for him to want her. | |

| I know I'm not really imputting here but I cry when I hear this song and that shows how emotion the song can be. Its lyrics have a lot of heart in them. | |

| it certainly seems to be a song about life.. but also, something more specific in relation to that journey - the line "i'll make you want me" is sung so clearly and seems so simple that i think it must be something instrumental to the song's meaning. as if, she'll only be happy if he does end up wanting her. she'll give it all away for that, maybe? she wants to travel away her problems, but especially she wants to escape these feelings. but as ever, only speculation! | |

| ooo karen o! i love this song. what i think it means is a lover trying to leave her or take a break because of trouble in the relationship (at home). She's sort of warning him, like, "once you leave me, you are going to miss me. you may say that the road doesn't like me, and therefore you need to go off on your own, but the road is going to end eventually and its going to end right back on me. It's going to bring you back to me, and somehow, someway because I am a warrior, I am going to stay strong and believe this, no matter who tries to tell me i'm small, and tell me to forget you and get over it. I WILL MAKE YOU WANT ME." | |

| Recently I heard an interview with Brian and Nick and they were asked what they thought this song meant. And they said they thought it was about Karen being a girl in a band in a male dominated band scene. Dunno? gr8 song though! | |

| I love this song, and I think it's about the road being a metaphor for SOMETHING. Maybe the story, since she said something about the end of the story, but I always think of it as a person. I don't know. Or maybe it's about some bad luck, not having the road like her while she wants to leave. So she can't leave? o.o I'm bad at interpreting songs, but this song is the best! :O | |
