Thank you. YELLOWCARD KICKS ASS!!!

Lyrics:

Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heros saving life in the dark
Climbing higher through the fire
Time was running out
Never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive

But you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong believe

Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
Never fearing only hearing voices calling out
Let it all go the life that you know
Just to bring them down alive

And you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong believe

Wanna hold my wife when i get home
Wanna tell the kids they'll never know
How much i love to see them smile
Wanna make a change right here right now
Wanna live a life like you somehow
Wanna make your sacrifice worthwhile

Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong believe

Hangoverv, you have got to be joking. I think you have blurred the lines between trying to capitalize off a tragedy and trying to say "thank you" to all those who helped. Apparently you think nobody should write a book, song, poem, or hell even talk about it since they might make money. It's not like Yellowcard is singing a song about how cool it was to see the buildings fall. They're saying Thank You.

Yeah i agree, in no way are they capitalizing on anyone's tragedy. Everyone has jobs, I mean it was those firefighters JOB to go into those falling buildings, at least thats what THEY said. It's Yellowcards JOB to making great music. They did it with this song and CD. Not only that, but most people would not have the courage to run into a building thats falling down even if it was their job. Tell me you would do it... I think it is a fitting tribute cause it wasn't like they were singing like "Thank you firefighters, Thank you for trying". They are singing about stuff that we all thought about when it first happened. I mean, I wanted to go home and just be happy that my family was alright. To just let them know that I love them cause it may be the last chance I ever have. OK kind of a longwinded post but still needed to be said.

Amazing song. So powerful when you think about it and the emotion in the song. Truly a great respect to the hero's of 9/11.

the part at the very end, "(The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here)" is from the gettysburg address lincoln made at gettysburg. what a great song, great tribute to 9/11.

This song is amazing. "Climbing higher, through the fire, time is running out..." That line is a true example of how this song is about 9/11. It's talking about firefighter's climbing over and up into the flames of the burning towens, looking for survivors. This song is truley incredible. I love it.

Probably one of, if not, my favorite song/s. The part that really gets me is the part where it comes back from the *cool-down part* where the announcer is talking about remembering those who perished and tried to help, and the overall sound of the song picks up, speeds up, and just increases emotion ten-fold, and he says: Wanna hold my wife when I get home Wanna tell the kids they'll never know how much I love to see them smiiiiile Wanna make a change or two right now Wanna live a life like you somehow Wanna make your sacrifice worthwhiiiiile It's just really great sounding at that part, and every time I hear it I get a shiver of joy that there are people out there that realize that life is more than just making money and getting the biggest house - that there are people who truly, sincerely cherish family and respect for one another. *However...Now, I didn't check any other sites yet, but I coulda sworn the lyrics where: Wanna make a change RIGHT HERE, right now Wanna live a life like you somehow.... Damn, the actual lyrics seem a liiiittle less cool than what I thought they were. oh well. still great.
