This is a great song....I absolutely love it! However, I just would like to comment on the fact that Yellowcard is not as wonderful in person as they are on CD. My high school won a concert from them courtsey of QWEST. We were all extremely excited, but they started the concert late, their drummer sat backstage the whole time, their lead singer didn't ever show up, and the violinist had to sing. It would've been fine, except for that he didn't know the words to his own songs, and had to read the lyrics off a sheet of paper....how pathetic is that?

Whoever has the Yellowcard CD put it into your computer and you'll find out what it actually means. Ryan Key said it's about his friend who is no longer with Yellowcard. I don't know if this guy died or what, but he said it could relate to any kind of relationship. Or something like that.

this song is beautiful. and i love the way it's just stuck in there in between two relatively happy-sounding songs. "When you get lonely if no one's around You know that I'll catch you when you're falling down We came together but you left alone And I know how it feels to walk out on your own" that's so great.

Ohhh wow i love this song, especially the lines "It's ok to be angry and never let go, it only gets harder the more that you know, when you get lonely and no one's around, you know that i'll catch you when you're falling down, we came together but you left alone and i know how it feels to walk out on your own, maybe someday i will see you again and you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend" and then it starts on the violin music and i start playing it on my violin!! it sounds sooo cool. The violin makes them totally original, and their songs are pretty easy to pick out on the violin too.

this song is incredible... it mkaes me think of friendships... a friendship that is over...and one person still desires and cherishes what that friendship once was and still wishes that the friendship was there and strong... 'It's okay to be angry and never let go It only gets harder the more that you know When you get lonely if no one's around You know that I'll catch you when you're falling down We came together but you left alone And I know how it feels to walk out on your own Maybe someday I will see you again And you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend' this song is saying, to me, that even tho the friendship is over and they have drifted apart they are both going through similar situations or have expierienced similar thingsand if the person ever needed the help of the old friend he or she would be there no matter what even tho they havent talked in a while... i know it may not make a huge amount of sense or maybe my brain is ahead of my verbal skillls but that is what i think....

idk if this was meniotned yet or not, i dotn feel like reading through every post, but the song is about... an ex-band member. In an interview that comes on the CD, lead singer Ryan Key says the song is a very emotional song for the whole band. The line, "When you get lonely if no one's around, you know that I'll catch you when you're falling down. We came together but you left alone, and I know how it feels to walk out on your own" shows his sadness over his good friend's decision, and that he's always there for him. thats from songfacts.com

I know that this isn't the meaning, but to me, this song makes me think of my best friend who died in a car accident. The last verse reminds me of her so much. Especially the part maybe someday i will see you again and you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend. So thats what it means to me. But so many songs make me think of her. Kate 1984-2004
