this song is actually based on the play "death of a salesman" in which the one son is always trying to impress his father and be like him. so those of you who say it lacks adult content are extremely mistaken. as the song has more depth than you realise, you just need a certain amount of contextual knowledge to realise it.

great song... meanings pretty clear... hes thanking his dad and remembering all the good times they had and he wants to bejust like his dad... the first time i heard this dong was when i was mad at my dad so it really helped me with that... great song

*sighs* I'm a girl, but it got the point across, so I played this for my dad anyway. I learned it on the guitar, and I played it, just for him. See, we've been.....not on speaking terms....for quite a while. When I was done, I looked up at him. He had tears in his eyes...but then he just wiped them away and said "You're not a boy. Never sing that again." Then he just got up and walked out of the room. >_<
