Yeah, I originally thought that the song was about cocaine use too...I mean "power in the POWDER"...but when I've seen Yellowcard live, Ryan always says that the song is about oxycoton. I'm not sure, but I think that oxycoton pills can be opened and the powder inside snorted to get a person high...that could be the missing link, here :)

ryan key writes songs with substance that is not too deep and basically can be easily understood by many. this one is definitely about drugs and addiction "even now your body cries for chemicals to blind your eyes"

this song is really great, i first heard it on my Plea For Peace CD (#2) and I listened to it over and over. and yup its "power in the powder" not "powder in the powder" on that last line.

I was thinking the same thing XxPoisonTheWellxX was thinking...perhaps this is a drug song? But, I still love Yellowcard...they put on a great show.
