Listen to the song for timing, sorry I couldn’t get the rest of

this song has a meaning, i'm sure it does but exactly what i dont know... seems like the singer is talking about times he's had on the lake with his love, but maybe he's on drugs? cuz his words arent very clear. its like poetry on lsd. nonetheless, this is like one of my favorite songs. why cant anyone make music like this anymore?? it makes me happyyy and i cant wait to see yes at shoreline on the 20th... wonder what they're like 30 years post their prime. if anyone knows exactly what the song means, itd be really cool

As etherial as these lyrics may seem, I have heard they are very grounded in a mundane reality. It's simply a description of the geography on the road, touring away from loved ones.

Ya know, you're right. No reason to be such an ass. I apologize to whomever I offended.

There are some close calls here on the meaning of Roundabout. But here it is for real: Jon Anderson said the song came about from a trip to Scotland. A roundabout is a traffic circle in Scotland. And near Loch Ness, fog settles in at the base of the mountains. They seem to come up out of the fog instead from the ground, so "Mountains come out of the sky" and stand there.

I honestly have to agree that there is an awsome bassline in this song, and that Yes Is about BOTH the lyrics AND the music equally. But that\'s just my opinion.

JumpingJack, you really don't understand the point of Yes lyrics. They don't make sense in a strict way, but as a whole, they convey emotion. Asidde from that, there's no need to be so abusive about it and insult people who misunderstand your point. Try to be a little less objectionable, please. Anyway, about the song. Ahem. This is simply the most orgasmic song ever written. That's really the only word to describe it. The sum of all it's components is just like nothing else. My friend thinks that if he saw this live he would actually have an orgasm.

As I understand it, a 'roundabout' in England is what Americans call a "merry-go-round'.
