Am A A2 C F G G2 D D2 E Em
0 0 5 0 1 3 3 5 0 0 0
1 2 5 1 1 3 3 7 3 0 0
2 2 6 0 2 0 4 7 0 2 0
2 2 7 2 3 0 5 7 4 3 2
0 0 0 3 x 2 0 5 5 3 2
x x x x x 3 x x x x 0
For Intro play verse riff then play the chords A and E twice.
Verse 1:
Am Em C F G A
You're the prince to my ballerina,
Am Em C G D
You feed other people's parking meters,
C D2 C D2
You encourage the eating of ice cream,
Am Em C F G A
You would somersault in sand with me,
Verse 2 (Same chords as verse 1):
You talk to loners, you ask how's your week,
You give love to all and give love to me,
You're obsessed with hiding the sticks and stones,
When I feel the unknown, You feel like home, you feel like home...
Chorus:
A2 G2 F
You put my feet back on the ground,
D C A2
Did you know you brought me round,
A2 G2 F
Yeah you were sweet and you were sound,
D* C G
You saved me
* Here you can do D or D2, whichever you think sounds best.
Repeat verse riff with these lyrics:
You're the warmth in my summers breeze,
You're the ivory to my ebony key,
You would share your last jelly bean and,
You would somersault in sand with me...
Repeat chorus riff.
Instrumental - verse riff.
Repeat chorus.
End with this:
A G F
You put my feet back on the ground,
D C A
Did you know you brought me round,
A G F
Yeah you were sweet and you were sound,
D C G
See I had shrunk yet still you wore me around,
A G D C G (repeat until fading out end)
And 'round and 'round...
The verse chords have to be kept in a tight rhythm so the lyrics can flow around them.

| This song reminds me of the person who got me into Zero 7 to begin with - To me the song reminds me of him because in many many ways he's the one person who keeps me totally grounded when i'm around him. I think the song in general is about two people fitting so perfectly together that it makes them totally complete, one whole, one person. And the way the eyes see the person as so perfect and so human, and so fun, and so out of reach almost, that they can't quite believe that they're theirs. | |

| you know, the first time i heard this song, i thought it was about a father-daughter relationship. the lyrics just seem a little childish (not in a bad way) or child-like. but then, i saw the video, and realized it's about a boyfriend. but then, you know that whole idea that girls are attracted to men that are somewhat similar to their fathers (example of the ideal man...). so now i think it's more of a girl enjoying her boyfriend's personality and presence, because it "feels like home", it brings her back to those feelings she had when growing up. | |
